Perovskite/Silicon tandem solar cell simulation

Compute the optical short-circuit current (Jsc), EQE, current matching and detailed-balance efficiency limit of perovskite-on-silicon tandem solar cells — layer by layer, under the AM1.5g spectrum.

Why optics decides tandem performance

A perovskite/silicon tandem stacks a wide-bandgap perovskite top cell on a silicon bottom cell to break past the single-junction Shockley–Queisser limit. Its current is set optically: how much sunlight each sub-cell absorbs, where parasitic layers waste photons, and how well the two sub-cells are current-matched. Getting that optical design right — before fabrication — is exactly what Phazic does.

What Phazic computes

All on a numerically stable Redheffer S-matrix engine that stays accurate across thick, absorbing and many-layer stacks.

Try it

Phazic runs on Windows 10 and 11 and is available from the Microsoft Store. Define your tandem stack once and read Jsc, EQE and the SQ limit in a single click.
